Anyone who was at the McEachern's Got Talent this weekend knows that Elise and I proclaimed that it's not about the money, and we meant it!
(Quick shout out to Madison and her dance group who rocked it and got first place--and also it's Madison's birthday!)
The show was a
huge success, raising over $2,000 for the youth choir, and it was so much fun!
While the choir really needed the money, we don't want anyone to forget why: so
they can go sing and be God's light shining in dark places. It's not about the
money, it's about God!
As Jason (youth pastor acting as emcee) pointed out on Saturday night, the talent show was a fundraiser for the Bahamas mission trip last year. This year, I performed in it again, and I am going to the Bahamas again. I have been overwhelmed by the amount of support that others have shown me, and I am more thankful for that than I can say. It is truly inspiring to be on the receiving end of so much encouragement, and to watch the community come together for me, and also for the choir!
But we all know that it's not about the money. We just want to make the world dance, and forget about the price tag. :)
